Your support makes all the difference.Dame Joan Collins has been forced to clarify the fact that she was not arrested after protesting in Dublin.
Collins, widely regarded as one of the most glamorous women of all time, has stated that she was simply confused with another protester of the same name.
Dame Joan tends to tweet pictures of herself with screen icons such as Elizabeth Taylor or the royal family, or shopping details of how to buy her make-up products, as well as acerbic political commentary. The Eighties star was understandably keen to clear her name.
It's somewhat unbelievable that anybody would confuse her with protester Joan Collins. The United Left Alliance TD was arrested on Monday morning on Parnell Road, Dublin, after chanting anti-water charge slogans.
Collins maintains that she was taking part in a peaceful protest. The charge against her was that she had contravened that Public Order Act.
The political Collins also took umbrage at being confused with the screen icon.
Touché.
