22 October: The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning joined a 'Seeing is Believing' visit to the Pepys Estate, Deptford, London SE8.
Mr Matthew Butler was in attendance.
KENSINGTON PALACE
22 October: The Princess of Wales this morning received the Earl of Gowrie.
22 October: The Duchess of Kent, Patron, this afternoon visited Victoria Green House at the Christie Hospital, Wilmslow Road, Withington, Manchester, and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Greater Manchester (Colonel John Timmins).
Her Royal Highness later visited Meadowbrook, the new Department of Psychological Medicine at Hope Hospital, Salford, Manchester.
The Duchess of Kent, President, this evening opened the new Daily Telegraph Theatre at the Royal Northern College of Music, Oxford Road, Manchester.
Miss Helen Tughan was in attendance.

The Duchess of Kent, Patron, the Royal Ulster Constabulary Benevolent Fund, attends a City of London Police Federation lunch for the Royal Ulster Constabulary Widows Association at Castle Howard, Yorkshire. TOMORROW: The Duke of Edinburgh, International President of WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature, attends the WWF Annual Conference in Vienna. Princess Margaret attends a Gala Evening at the Oxford Playhouse, Oxford, to celebrate its 70th Anniversary. Princess Alexandra begins a visit to Austria, to undertake engagements in connection with the 30th Anniversary of the English Theatre in Vienna and Garrard's 150th Anniversary Exhibition as Crown Jewellers.
