22 January: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Reverend William Booth (Sub-Dean of Her Majesty's Chapels Royal) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Most Reverend Frank Woods (formerly Archbishop of Melbourne) which was held in St Paul's Cathedral, London EC4, this morning.

22 January: The Duchess of Kent, Patron, Samaritans, this morning visited the General Office of the Samaritans, 10 The Grove, Slough, and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr John Henderson). Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead Branch of the Samaritans, 17 Uxbridge Road, Slough.

Mrs Colin Marsh was in attendance.

TOMORROW: The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 10am; 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
