18 August: The Princess Royal this morning visited Proctor's Children's Home, Skene, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Aberdeenshire (Captain Colin Farquharson of Whitehouse).
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Stewart Milne Group, Peregrine House, Westhill Business Park, Westhill.
The Princess Royal later visited Ashdale Hall, Westhill.
Her Royal Highness subsequently opened Westhill Swimming Pool, Westhill.
The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Roxburghe House, Milltimber, Aberdeen, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the City of Aberdeen (Mr James Wyness, the Lord Provost).
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the Beach End Project, Aberdeen Football Club, Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen.
BALMORAL CASTLE
18 August: The Queen was represented by Sir Michael Herries (Her Majestys' Lord-Lieutenant for the Stewartry of Kircudbright) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Admiral Sir Nigel Henderson (formerly Vice-Admiral of the United Kingdom) which was held in Castle Douglas Parish Church this afternoon.
Mrs John Dugdale has succeeded the Hon Mary Morrison as Lady in Waiting to Her Majesty.
Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Irish Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards.
