Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is to divorce second husband Jean-Bernard after 18 months of marriage, it has been reported.
The couple separated five months ago but she has only just filed divorce papers, an anonymous source told The Mirror.
She has reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” with her French entrepreneur husband, who has now moved out of the London home they shared.
"In the end Cheryl realised she had married too soon and had been swept away by a bit of a whirlwind romance”, the source said.
"Over time it became clear to each of them that they were very different people and from very different worlds.
"They are now focusing on making sure they stay friends. The divorce is amicable and they have both said they will always be there for each other."
The pair married on Caribbean island Mustique in July 2014 after meeting only several months previously. They were last seen in public together in October, at a joint 40th birthday party for TV presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – known as Ant and Dec.
Both husband and wife have posted cryptic messages on recent social media posts.
“Sending love to women out there trying to love themselves in a world that constantly tells them not to,” she wrote on Instagram 8 January.
Jean-Bernard posted a photo of a dog captioned with crying emojis followed by “Really !!” on 9 January, apparently poking fun at reports he envied the time Cheryl spent with her dogs.
