Investigations are continuing into the death of an Australian fitness model and body builder who was found dead hours after sharing a video of her protein-filled “lean breakfast” shake and upcoming workout.

Andy Page, of Gold Coast, Queensland, was a sports model and nutritionist who often promoted nutritional supplements on her social media outlets.

She began body building four years ago, initially competing for state and national titles before going on to international events.

Paramedics were called to the 32-year-old’s home on Sunday but she was unable to be revived, according to a statement by a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman.

Queensland Police said her death, officially reported at 3pm on Sunday, is being treated as “non-suspicious” and investigations are on-going to ascertain the cause.

In one recent Instagram post Ms Page revealed she was restarting her training again after suffering from a back injury. She said: “[I’m] getting back into training after a long standing back injury plus surgery last year… can’t wait to build on it some more with some more sessions”.

Her death was announced over social media by her husband, Nathan, on Wednesday. She and her husband, a fitness coach, previously ran a gym together in Sydney called Fitness Republic.

Tribute have flooded in for Ms Page who studied health science at university and was a competitive swimmer.

Boxing promoter, Jamie Myer, who previously trained Ms Page, described her as a “beautiful person”.

He told the MailOnline: “She liked hard cardio and pushing her body a fair bit. She really loved it, enjoyed it.... She's a beautiful person.”

Mr Myer said he understood Ms Page had recently begun training again and denied any suggestion she used drugs or steroids, adding he understood she only used natural nutritional supplements and protein powders. Some of these she promoted on her social media accounts.

The Australian branch of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness paid tribute to Ms Page. The group said in a statement: 'It is with the heaviest heart that we pay tribute to our beautiful, bright and bubbly Andy Page.

"We are all absolutely grief stricken at the loss of Andy and our hearts break thinking of her beloved Nathan.

"Andy was a great competitor who reached the highest level of becoming an IFBB Pro athlete, a fantastic mentor and coach and friend to so many."

A private funeral for Ms Page is due to held at Somerville Chapel in Nerang, Queensland on Thursday, new.com.au reports.
