Gardai abandons search for bodies
GARDAI HAVE called off their searches at two of six sites in the Irish Republic where it was believed the bodies of eight missing IRA victims from the 1970s were buried. The searches at six locations from Louth to County Wicklow began three weeks ago. Despite initial hopes that the bodies would be found within a couple of days no remains have been found.
