Your support makes all the difference.Troubled singer Amy Winehouse and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, have been held overnight by police in Norway for drug possession, it was confirmed today.
The couple were arrested with an unnamed British man at a hotel room in the southern city of Bergen, where they were found with 7g (0.25oz) of marijuana, prosecutors in the city said.
The three were held for just under 12 hours before being fined and released, prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said.
The couple were fined 500 euros (£350) between them while the other man was made to pay £240 sterling.
Winehouse, 24, who was admitted to hospital earlier this year after a reported overdose of heroin, Ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and alcohol, is due to give a concert in the city tonight.
Mr Lothe said: "We had a tip from a good source which led to police checking up on the tip.
"They were in a hotel room in the centre of Bergen."
He said the 7g of the drug had been found in the room itself rather than on any of their persons.
All three were taken to a police station in the city and held until early this morning.
"They signed a ticket, a fine, at the police station some hours ago," he said.
"It is a closed case."
Fielder-Civil's father, Giles, spoke recently about his fears for the couple, urging fans to stop buying Winehouse's records in order to send a message that the pair should sort out their problems.
Mr Fielder-Civil said he thought the couple had taken cocaine, crack cocaine and possibly heroin.
Last month the beehive-haired star snapped up a Mobo award for Best UK Female.
But the ceremony sparked further fears for her health, with spectators describing her live performance as distracted and out of tune.
