THE DRAB summer has left customers expecting celebratory hot air balloon rides deflated. Record numbers of 3,000ft high rides - which cost more than a pounds 100 each - have been cancelled, meaning delays of two or three months on some bookings.
Pilot Sheila Anthony, of Gloucestershire-based Virgin Balloons, said "It's the worst summer I can remember."
