The fashion retailer Jaeger has hired a new chief executive, following its acquisition by a private-equity firm last year.

Colin Henry, who was the chief product officer at clothing chain Esprit, will join the 129-year-old retailer next month. He succeeds Stewart Binnie, who stepped down as executive chairman in March. Better Capital, the firm founded by the veteran venture capitalist Jon Moulton, acquired Jaeger last April.
