STOCKS consolidated after Monday's 4 per cent gain, with the Hang Seng index ending up 10.65 at 14,005 as investors sought profits among selected blue chips and the focus shifted to red chips, H-shares and second liners.
H-shares and red chips outperformed the Hang Seng index, with the China Enterprises index closing up 26.12 points at 562.46 and the China-Affiliated Corporations index closing 36.82 higher at 1,160.54.
