Cover for the military

DURING the last Gulf crisis service personnel found that life insurance companies shrank away from offering them life cover.

The Armed Forces Financial Advisory Services vowed it would never happen again. With the backing of Scottish Widows it set up Forces Safeguard, which covers the armed forces on or off duty anywhere in the world - including war zones.

Premiums are set at the beginning and will not zoom up when things get hot.
