David Grindley's international multi-award winning production of R.C. Sherriff's masterpiece Journey’s End is a must-see of British theatre.

Based on the author's own experience in the trenches, this gripping tale of ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances celebrates their humour and courage, engaging audiences with a compelling insight into how human spirit will always triumph in the face of adversity.

Set in St Quentin in 1917, the play follows 18-year-old 2nd Lieutenant Raleigh, the new arrival in a company commanded by his former schoolfriend Captain Stanhope. There are only three years between them, but a lifetime of experience separates the pair as Raleigh discovers that the man in army greens is much changed from the boy who left him behind in cricketing whites.

Journey’s End runs at Duke of York’s Theatre in London from 19 July until 3 September, and The Independent has five pairs of tickets to give away. To get your hands on a pair, simply enter your details in the form below.

The promotion closes at 23.59 on 3 July 2011. Winners will be contacted by email on 4 July. The tickets are available for any performance during the run except Friday and Saturday evening performances.
