Newsbrief: Dial for help

A phone helpline to give advice and assistance to women in violent relationships who are concerned about the safety of their children, has been set up by Newham council. The confidential helpline has links with police and groups who counsel on domestic violence. It is open until September from 9am to 5pm, telephone: 081-552 0010.
