Texas Instruments has appointed Jean-Francois Fau as director of its European Wireless Communications Business Unit. Fau is a 15-year veteran of TI's Semiconductor Group.

Telia UK Ltd has appointed Mark Johnson as business development manager for the Midlands. He joins from Future Network Services.

The Vantive Corporation has appointed Dan Schmidt as managing director of Vantive UK Ltd. He joins from SQL Financials, where he was vice-president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Wayne Meikle, a director of Braid Systems Ltd, has been appointed to head Braid's operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila and Melbourne.
