Nissan is launching a crossover that should enter more than 80 countries around the world. The Kicks will first be launched in South America before spreading further afield – hopefully to the UK.
It’s an eye-catching design that in terms of size bears a resemblance to Fiat’s 500X, although there’s a distinctly coupe-like slant to the rear. Despite this, Nissan claim the vehicle will have class-leading space inside.
In the cabin there will be a 7in infotainment system screen mounted in the middle of the dashboard, which will show the screen for the four cameras mounted round the vehicle to help with close parking.
Nissan seem to be positioning the vehicle as a city car – where the cameras will help – rather than as a soft-roader.
The Kicks will kick off in Brazil in August before expanding out into South America. The design was heavily influenced by Nissan’s design teams in both San Diego and Rio de Janeiro.
