Chris Pratt has revealed how he met his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, explaining that the newlyweds first set eyes on each other at church.

Speaking to Extra on Tuesday evening at the opening of Jurassic World: The Ride in Universal Studios, Hollywood, the actor explained he and Schwarzenegger met while they met at church.

Pratt is reportedly a regular at Zoe Church in Los Angeles, which, according to its website is “open to people of all backgrounds”.

“There’s a lot of kismet,” Pratt said of his meeting with Schwarzenegger, adding that the duo have “a lot of connections”.

The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in California.

Pratt posted about the celebrations on Instagram a day later, uploading a photograph of the couple looking lovingly at one another in their wedding attire.

Schwarzenegger wore a strapless fitted white gown by Giorgio Armani for the occasion while Pratt donned a dark tuxedo with a silver tie, also by Armani.

In the caption, Pratt described the wedding as “the best day of our lives” and thanked the Italian designer for creating his and Schwarzenegger’s ensembles.

“Yesterday was the best day of our lives!,” he wrote. “We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives.

“We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed.”
