Lofty issues
About 130 members of the Tall Persons Club of Great Britain are holding their third annual convention in Docklands where they are facing up to problems caused by their height.
Phil Heinricy, 6ft 8in, founded the club three years ago. It has 2,000 members. Today the club is holding a workshop where representatives of several airlines will be told of the difficulties tall people have in getting comfortable in the air.
'I can never find an airline seat which is comfortable,' said Mr Heinricy, who is married to 5ft 3in Carol. 'InterCity seats are equally uncomfortable. I rarely go to cinemas or theatres because their seats are too small.
