Lilly Singh comes out as bisexual in inspiring tweet
The YouTuber shared the news on Twitter
Lilly Singh has revealed she is bisexual.
The popular YouTube star, who goes by the name of “Superwoman” on the streaming platform, shared the news in a tweet that has since garnered more than 86,000 likes.
“Female, Coloured, Bisexual,” she wrote in a checklist format, with ticks beside each word.
“Throughout my life these have proven to be obstacles from time to time. But now I’m fully embracing them as my superpowers.”
The 30-year-old, who is also a comedian and actor, concluded her tweet with five love heart emojis in a range of colours in reference to the multi-coloured LGBTQ+ flag.

Show all 8Singh has more than 14 million subscribers on YouTube and has appeared in films such as Bad Moms, Fahrenheit 451 and Dr Cabbie.
The announcement has been well-received by her extensive fan base, many of whom have responded with congratulatory messages.
“Wow!! Yesssss Lilly,” wrote one person, “Love u grrl! And support you always!! [sic]”
“I commend you for your courage to speak your truth,” another added. “I know it wasn’t easy for you, but just know that you have the love and support of so many people.”
Fellow YouTubers chimed in with messages of support too, with Manny MUA writing: “Welcome to the family babe!”
Singh responded in a subsequent tweet in which she thanked everybody for their kind comments.
“Thank you so much for the love and positivity,” she wrote.
“Words can’t describe how much it means. I appreciate you all. Group hug”.
