James Charles apologises to Tati Westbrook following scandal

James Charles’ online clothing store Sisters Apparel appears to have been removed, as his feud with fellow YouTube beauty blogger Tati Westbrook continues.

On Monday, it was reported that Sisters-Apparel.com was no longer active, and instead had an “under construction” notice.

Navigating to the website now results in a “This connection is not private” warning that urges visitors to “go back to the previous page”.

Although it has not been confirmed, it appears YouTuber Jeffree Star may be behind the removal of Charles’ website, where fans could previously buy merchandise such as hoodies and phone cases - as Star owns the distribution company, Killer Merch, that runs Sister Apparel.

Sisters has also been removed from the Killer Merch website under listed partnerships.

The removal of the website comes amid a continuing controversy between Charles and Westbrook, who used to be friends but have since cut ties over business and personal conflicts.

Visitors can no longer navigate to James Charles' online store

According to Westbrook, who explained the feud with 19-year-old Charles in a YouTube video titled “Bye Sister”, the problem first began when Westbrook promoted Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins - a rival brand to Westbrook’s Halo Beauty.

However, Westbrook also said she was tired of apologising for Charles’ problematic behaviour, which she claimed included “manipulating people’s sexuality” and using his “fame, power and money to play with people’s emotions”.

The reaction to Westbrook’s video, which has since been viewed more than 40m times, has been swift - with Charles losing more than 3m followers as a result.

Among those who unfollowed the beauty blogger are Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Jeffree Star and Kim Kardashian, according to BuzzFeed.

Star, who was previously friends with Charles, revealed he is on Westbrook’s side in a now-deleted tweet in which he called Charles a “danger to society”.

The YouTube star and owner of Jeffree Star Cosmetics also tweeted his congratulations to Westbrook on reaching 7m followers and then 8m followers on YouTube following her video.

“HUGE congratulations to the makeup queen @GlamLifeGuru on hitting 6 MILLION subscribers on YouTube today!!!” Star wrote. “You are one of a kind.”

On Saturday, Charles responded to the backlash with a YouTube video of his own titled “Tati”.

In the video, which has also been viewed more than 40m times, the blogger apologises to Westbrook and her husband before admitting that he used to play “the victim” but that he is “not doing that today, I’m not."

“That is all I have to say, I’m sorry,” he added.

On Instagram, the Sisters Apparel account is still up, however, the comments have been flooded with requests from people asking how to cancel their orders.
