Love Island's Camilla and Jamie announce they are expecting a baby together

Love Island stars Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt have announced they are expecting their first child together.

On Sunday evening, Thurlow and Jewitt both shared the same video announcement on Instagram.

The video begins with the couple sitting on their sofa, looking delighted as they peer at a piece of paper.

Jewitt folds the sheet into a paper aeroplane, which he then sends to various members of their families who are all at home in isolation.

At the end of the video, which is set to the tune of Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby“, the piece of paper makes its way back to Thurlow and Jewitt, who finally turn it around to reveal it is an ultrasound.

In their Instagram captions, Thurlow and Jewitt wrote that they have “managed to make something pretty special”.

They also included the hashtags “#17weeks” and “October2020”, implying that their baby is due to arrive in autumn.

Numerous Instagram users expressed their excitement over the news, including several former Love Island contestants.

“OMG congratulations!!!! This is so lovely you guys,” commented reality television star Olivia Attwood.

“OH MY F***ING GOD I am so excited!!!!” wrote Montana Brown.

Thurlow and Jewitt first met in 2017 when they took part in the third series of the ITV show Love Island, which has been cancelled this summer due to the coronavirus.

Having had a tumultuous time in the villa, Thurlow’s spirits were boosted when Jewitt arrived four weeks in.

The couple’s quickly forged a close connection, resulting in them coming in second place overall.

In January, former Love Island star Jack Fincham revealed he had become a father to a baby girl.

The reality television star described the arrival of his daughter as “the best thing that has ever happened” to him, adding that she had been named Blossom Fincham.

Fincham won the 2018 series of the reality dating programme in 2018 with Dani Dyer. The couple announced their separation in April 2019.
