Scientists in Sweden believe they have found a cure for sinusitis: humming.

Sinusitis is an inflammation caused by a build-up of bacteria feeding on stale air trapped in a blocked nose. Humming refreshes the air, helping kill off the bacteria, and appears to unblock the openings between the sinus and nose.

"If you have blocked sinuses and you hum, you have higher oxygen levels and higher ventilation levels all the time," said Dr Jon Lundberg. "If you could hum your way through the day, you wouldn't get sinusitis."
