Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, previously only available on the Google Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, is to be made available on the Asus Transformer Pad TF300 tablet.

This marks the first time that the operating system, which allows multiple users to have different setups on the same device, will be available on a non-Google tablet. The free software was available in the US Taiwan and some other regions last week and is available in the UK today.

Owners of the Asus Transformer Pad should receive the update automatically. In addition, it is available to download from Asus online.
