Four weeks at top spot for Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is surely reason to celebrate for Warner Bros., but the fact that there isn’t even one new entry in the entire top 40 selling games is surely a worrying sign for an industry which is seemingly already gearing up for Christmas.

At least there are the Summer of Arcade Xbox 360 releases to look forward to as the likes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, Wreckateer, Deadlight, Hybrid and Dust: An Elysian Tail gear up for digital launch over the coming weeks.

Top 40 Entertainment Software (All Prices), Week Ending 14 July 2012:

1 – LEGO BATMAN 2: DC SUPER HEROES – WARNER BROS.
2 – LONDON 2012: THE OFFICIAL VIDEO GAME – SEGA
3 – THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN – ACTIVISION
4 – DEAD ISLAND GOTY EDITION – KOCH MEDIA
5 – TOM CLANCY’S GHOST RECON: FUTURE SOLDIER – UBISOFT
6 – CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 3 – ACTIVISION
7 – THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM – BETHESDA
8 – FIFA 12 – EA
9 – SPEC OPS: THE LINE – 2K GAMES
10 – MARIO & SONIC LONDON 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES – SEGA
