The old dictum of "a nod being as good as a wink" might need some updating – maybe to something along the lines of a "like" being better than a "poke". Certainly if you're wearing the new Like-A-Hug inflatable social media vest, which wirelessly links to your Facebook account and envelops you in a low-key snuggle when anyone presses the thumbs-up key on your page.
No news, however, on what the MIT-created coat (not currently on sale) will do when someone presses "poke"? Jab in the ribs, maybe? Could prove quite useful, that one.
