Krispy Kreme has announced the arrival of a brand new doughnut to its line-up – the Original Glazed with Nutella.

That’s right, just when you thought the brand’s iconic glazed treat couldn’t get more indulgent, the masterminds at Krispy Kreme decide to fill it with “the best hazelnut spread in the world.”

But if you’re a doughnut fan prepare for disappointment because there’s a catch.

A photo of the new flavour was shared on the official Krispy Kreme Dominican Republic Facebook page on Monday.

And because life is unfair, it seems that this is the only location that the doughnut is currently available.

The image of the circular ring oozing with delicious Nutella quickly circulated online with people’s reactions scaling a range of emotional ups and downs.

Some responded with sheer delight at the announcement with one person tweeting: “There's a new #KrispyKreme donut filled with #Nutella and I feel like I could die happy now.”

However, as news that the launch was only available in the Dominican Republic surfaced the disappointment swiftly set in.

“We need this in America too! I'm gonna need y'all to act right and give this to us, ASAP,” someone wrote.

Another added: “Krispy Kreme offers Nutella stuffed Original Glaze...in Dominican Republic stores. Looks at flights...”

But, with flights to the Caribbean nation costing around £700 we shall have to wait on its global arrival with bated breath.

Or, you could get your sugar fix from UK-based brand Doughnut Time where you can buy the “Love at First Bite” doughnut which comes filled with Nutella and dusted with delicious cinnamon sugar.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the two have met. Back in 2016, Krispy Kreme released the “Nutty Cocoa Ring” which was dipped in Nutella hazelnut spread, topped off with crunchy hazelnut pieces, and drizzled with chocolate icing to create a “flavour experience unlike any other.”
