A jumpsuit inspired by a viral outfit which had wine accidentally spilt on it is now available to purchase from fashion retailer Pretty Little Thing.

Earlier this month, Eleanor Walton, from Leeds, was attending the Ripon Races in North Yorkshire when someone spilt red wine down her white outfit.

However, rather than despair, Walton and her friend, Mia Williamson, decided to make the best of a bad situation by pouring more red wine over the rest of her ensemble, making it seem as though her clothes had been intentionally tie dyed.

"Got some more red wine and fixed it and I think we've just made a new product to [Pretty Little Thing's] festival range," Williamson wrote on Twitter alongside before and after pictures of Walton, in a tweet which has since garnered more than 215,000 likes.

Walton's innovative outfit proved such an online hit that on Sunday 28 July, Pretty Little Thing announced on Twitter that it had officially created a jumpsuit inspired by her and her friend's crafty quick-thinking.

The Burgundy Tie Dye Scuba High Neck Tie Waist Jumpsuit is available to purchase on the Pretty Little Thing website for £25, ranging in size from four to 16.

The description states that it is an outfit "everyone's totally obsessing over", and the pictures of the jumpsuit feature the before and after images of Walton in her makeshift outfit.

Following Pretty Little Thing's announcement, Williamson expressed her disbelief on Twitter over the fact the retailer had actually taken inspiration from the wine-spill outfit.

"CANNOT BELIEVE we made this baby," Williamson tweeted.

"AS IF!! If I see anyone out wearing this am buying you a drink," Walton added on Twitter.

Several Pretty Little Thing customers commented on the new jumpsuit on Twitter, many of whom stated that they believe Williamson and Walton should receive payment from the retailer for providing them with the idea.

"You better pay her and her friends some money and give them exclusive discounts for life," one person tweeted.

"Please tell me you've sent her a free one," another remarked.
