If you’re sat in the front row, it usually means one of two things. Either you’ve turned up late to the cinema, or you’re the class dork.

Regardless, it’s hardly a coveted spot. Unless, of course, you’re at a fashion show. In which case, the aforementioned connotations are rendered obsolete.

At fashion week, the front row, or frow as it’s called, is not just a place to sit and ponder how you spell “Gabbana”.

In fact, the frow is reserved for those at the upper echelons of the industry – editors, buyers, stylists – and Hollywood celebrities.

It’s a place where Anna Wintour trades tennis tips with Seth Meyers while Kate Moss catches up with Naomi Campbell.

All the while, industry insiders are avidly identifying the key trends and styles making their way down the runway so they can plan for the upcoming season.

Whatever your role may be, if you’re sat in the front row at a fashion show, you can feel confident that you must be kind of a big deal. And given that Paris Fashion Week is the grand finale of a jam-packed fashion month, preceded by New York, London and Milan, you can rest assured that there will be many famous faces present.

So far, we’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence cosying up with Cara Delevingne at Dior while Felicity Jones and Ezra Miller turned heads at Saint Laurent.

Elsewhere, British actors Florence Pugh and Mia Goth mingled with industry leaders at the Chloé show on Thursday.
