From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has been unveiled as the face of Jimmy Choo for the second season.

The actor who plays Jon Snow in the fantasy series, reprises his role for the luxury footwear brand in this latest spring/summer 2015 campaign.

In the image, shot by Steven Klein, Harington is pictured crouching on the bonnet of a car in an industrial style setting seen through the perspective of the driver.

The campaign is accompanied by a video featuring Harington, alongside the women's campaign star Ondria Hardin in the same futuristic setting.

“Kit perfectly embodies the Jimmy Choo Man. He has a natural and alluring masculinity and an effortless sense of style. His cool attitude and smouldering sensuality belie a true British gentleman.” comments Sandra Choi, Creative Director of Jimmy Choo.

“I was very excited to be chosen as the face for such a highly regarded brand and to play a role in defining who the Jimmy Choo man is. It was a fun shoot and a great experience working with Steven Klein” Kit Harington.
