A new lipstick advert by Nars Cosmetics has divided opinion amongst Twitter users as a result of its "sexually explicit" footage.
The beauty company recently posted an advert for the brand’s latest lipstick collection, After Hours.
In the clip, the melting of a lipstick is shown in reverse, causing the product's original bullet shape to ripple. The accompanying caption says: “When the nudes keep you up all night.”
Following the post, several Twitter users took to the social media platform to share their surprise after viewing the phallic advert.

Even Chrissy Teigen had something to say about the advert, posting: “Honestly in love with this colour and now I must have it to soften my boner."
"Is lipstick applied to some other part of the body now?" asked another user.
While some found the advert to be humorous, others said that the company had missed the mark and failed to appropriately market its product for consumers.
“This makes me want to buy one, said no one ever. Gross.” wrote one disgruntled user.
Another commented: “WoW. Remind me NOT to purchase anything NARS sells.
“This is too far. Teenage girls make most makeup purchases. I wouldn't want my kid thinking this ad was cool. [sic]”
“Clearly, they are not targeting the lipstick lesbian market,” wrote another.
Several of the company’s fans pointed out that this isn’t the first time the brand has used sexual innuendos in its marketing.
“I mean....they have an entire line of products called Orgasm so this is kinda par for the course for them,” wrote one user.
Some of the brand's well-known products have explicit names including Climax mascara, the Orgasm blush, and the Deep Throat blush.
