From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Luxury department store Harvey Nichols will be retailing three styles of sunglasses by Linda Farrow each retailing in the thousands.

The luxe range of sunglasses are from an exclusive collaboration between the eyewear brand and Harvey Nichols of 20 limited edition super luxurious styles.

The sunglasses come with 24 carat gold plated lenses with one pair even featuring diamonds encrusted on the frame.

While the plainer gold styles shown here will set you back a mere £7,000, expect to pay a whopping £27,000 for the diamond encrusted style.

Since it was first established in 1970 Linda Farrow is at the forefront of designer eyewear.

The brand made its name with its fashion-forward designs and pioneering styles that are still popular today.

It is renowned for its collaborations with some of the world's best known designers including Dries Van Noten and Oscar De La Renta.

The sunglasses will be available in store at Harvey Nichols from next week.
