From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

They say that once you get your first tattoo, you're unlikely ever to stop. It’s the so-called body-art bug.

Now it appears top British model Cara Delevingne may have caught the ink addiction, as she has added another tattoo to her collection.

The 20-year-old used her Instagram account to reveal new body-art with the caption: ‘Made in England! Finally…@bangbangnyc’

She branded the sole of her left foot with a tattoo which reads ‘Made in England’, and looks like a discreet reminder to herself (and also, perhaps, to her high-fashion bosses) of her roots.

After getting a lion face etched on her index finger back in May, Delevingne tweeted: ‘My first tattoo! Lions rule! Thank you so much @bangbangnyc’. A second tattoo followed a week later when she got Bang Bang to ink her initials CJD (Cara Jocelyn Delevingne) on the side of her hand.

Bang Bang is known for his A-list clients and is said to have become Rihanna’s favourite tattooist. Delevingne has been seen hanging around with the pop star recently, so is it coincidence or has the model been influenced by Ri-Ri’s own tattoo addiction?
