Love Island star Dr Alex George speaks out after younger brother's death

‘As a family we are devastated,’ says former reality TV star

Dr Alex George has opened up about the loss of his younger brother, Llŷr.

On Friday, the former Love Island star shared a photograph of him with Llŷr on Instagram alongside a heartfelt caption in which he described him as “the kindest and most caring soul”.

“I can’t believe I am actually writing this post,” the 30-year-old wrote.

“I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health,” he added.

“I love you so much Llŷr. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.

“We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy.”

It is believed that Llŷr was 19 years old when he died.

Dr George’s post has garnered a wave of support from friends and fans sharing their condolences.

“Oh Alex I’m so so sorry. Sending you all my love,” commented TV host Lorraine Kelly.

“I am so so sorry to hear this Alex,” added former Love Island star Hayley Hughes.

“Thinking of you and your family at this heartbreaking time.”
