On Tuesday, Shanieke Pryor uploaded a Facebook video of baby Kingston sitting on the couch watching TV next to his dad Deztin Pryor and attempting to communicate.
Despite being able to merely babble, Deztin has a full conversation with the child, who appears to agree in response.
“They need to work on that right?” Deztin can be heard asking Kingston, who responds with something that sounds like “Ya”.
Deztin then follows up, asking his son: “Did you understand it though?” to which the baby replies “No,” before asking an unintelligible question.
“Oh no, no. Not this one. This the grand finale of it,” his dad responds, before continuing the conversation as his son gestures and answers.
“Really?!” I thought the same thing,” Deztin says at one point in response to a babbled question, laughing as he adds: “We think a lot alike.”
The adorable video has since been viewed more than 35m times and shared more than 1.1m times on Facebook.
On Twitter, where it has also gone viral, people are expressing their joy over the interaction.
“The conversation between that baby and his dad is the greatest thing I’ve seen all of 2019,” one person wrote on Twitter.
Another said: “That baby is lucky to have such a great engaged dad. This ‘conversation’ is so cute. These two are definitely bonding. I love it.”
Even celebrities such as Chris Evans were infatuated by the video, with the Captain America actor tweeting: “I could’ve watched an hour of this.”
According to Deztin, he knew his son was funny, as he told Today he acts “just like him”.
“He is very animated,” the father said. “He takes after me,” adding that “He doesn’t seem himself as a baby. I don’t see him as a baby”.
