Chrissy Teigen asks rich friends to stop asking for PR boxes

Chrissy Teigen has reminded her “rich” friends that her Cravings marketing budget is “not infinite” after receiving requests for her free PR boxes.

Recently, Teigen sent out Cravings PR boxes, which included items from her Cravings cookware line at Target, to fellow celebrities including Kylie Jenner, Shay Mitchell, Kourtney Kardashian and Ali Wong.

But, according to Teigen, there were some people who were upset that they didn’t receive the box of free products after seeing videos and photos of the gifts on Instagram.

“Please don’t ask for a box,” the cookbook author wrote on her Instagram Stories. “My marketing budget is not infinite but my love for you is. Also I see some of u asking and you’re literally rich.”

Teigen then continued to address the situation in videos posted to her Story, where she explained that she used to receive PR boxes all the time and donate them “before she actually had to make her own boxes”.

“I just didn’t really think twice about it,” she said, continuing: “And then I started making my own and, holy s*** it’s a ton of work. Shout out and much love to people that do it on their own.”

The 34-year-old then clarified that her message was not directed towards fans but for “my friends that are literally writing: ‘Uh, mine hasn’t gotten here yet?’”

Joking that it's because “uh, I didn’t send it to you,” Teigen said not all of the boxes have been sent out yet.

“I’ve got somebody driving around freaking Los Angeles doing this one at a time. What do you want from me? We’re tiny. We’re small, okay? I know it looks like everything’s just easy, but I promise,” she continued.

Teigen concluded the video referencing her recent feud with food writer Alison Roman, telling her followers: “Maybe that comes from somebody putting it in your head that we’re just a content farm with endless money and got so big so fast, but I promise we didn’t, as great as it looks.”

Last week, Roman suggested that Cravings was a “content farm,“ prompting Teigen to express her disappointment and defend herself and her brand from the accusations.
