Canapes have become one of the staples of the party season, especially since supermarkets have upped their game in this department. Our round-up brings you the best on offer for this year. Whether you want a buffet or plates of nibbles to pass around the room, we have it sussed.

Other supermarkets have tried mini beef wellingtons over the years, but most are as tough as old boots. Waitrose has got it right with a succulent bite of British beef mixed with a mushroom duxelle, wrapped in puff pastry and topped with poppy seeds.
