1. What is the Promotion? There are now more chances to become a millionaire with Lotto than ever before and to celebrate The Independent and Lotto are working together to offer readers the chance to win £100k simply by entering their details and Lotto number online. The promotion will run for 1 week.

2. How do I enter the Promotion?

To participate in the Promotion you must (in addition to satisfying the eligibility criteria listed in paragraph 1 above):

(a) Have a valid Lotto Ticket valid for a Lotto draw taking place on either Saturday 10th, Wednesday 14th,Saturday 17th, Wednesday 21th or Saturday 24th October 2015.

(b) locate the special code (“in-paper code”) printed each day in either The Independent, Independent on Sunday or i between 11th October 2015 and 16th October 2015 and.

(c) visit independent.co.uk/offers between 07:00 on Sunday 11th October 2015 and 23:59 on Sunday 18th October (the “Entry Period”), click on the Lotto Promotion link and enter your personal details (including your full name, address, email and telephone number), the in-paper code and your unique Lotto Ticket number from your Ticket for a Qualifying Lotto Draw and your in-paper code. (Your unique Lotto Ticket number is the 19 digit number found in the top left hand corner of your Lotto ticket.

Please note that your Lotto Ticket number will be checked to ensure it is a valid number for the Draw. You must keep your original Lotto Ticket or printed validation slip as proof of purchase – this will be required to be shown before any prize is awarded.

You can enter the promotion up to six times. You can re-use the same Lotto Ticket number, but each entry will require a different valid in-paper code (there will be a total of six codes printed during the Entry Period, one a day for 6 days).

3. Where can I find my ticket number?

Your ticket number can be found on your National Lottery Lotto ticket – it is the long number in the top left hand corner of the ticket. Your ticket number will be 19 digits long.

4. Do I need to buy a National Lottery Lotto ticket to participate?

Yes, you will a National Lottery Lotto ticket valid for a specific Lotto draw. See question 5 for more information.

6. How many times can I enter?

You can enter the promotion up to six times. You can re-use the same Lotto Ticket number, but each entry will require a different valid in-paper code (there will be a total of six codes printed during the Entry Period, one a day for 6 days).

7. Do I need an email address to enter?

Yes, you will need to input your email address in order to enter the promotion.

8. Do I need a mobile phone to enter?

No, all winners will need to provide a contact telephone number, but this can be either a mobile or landline number

9. Do I have to be of a certain age to enter?

Yes, you must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the Promotion.

10. Who is eligible to enter?

All permanent residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 16 or over.

11. How long will the Promotion last?

The promotion lasts for 1 week from 7AM on Sunday 11th October 2015 until 11:59PM Sunday 18th October 2015. There is one £100k prize to be won.

12. I am concerned about getting unwanted emails from participating in the Promotion.

You will only receive emails from The Independent or Camelot if you decide not to opt out to communication when entering.

PRIZES AND WINNERS

13. What are the available prizes to be won in this Promotion?

There is one cash prize available to the value of £100,000 (one hundred thousand pounds).

14. How will I know if I have won?

If you are a winner, your first name and post town will be announced on each participating Independent website and you will be contacted within 7 days of the Promotion Draw taking place (via the contact details provided on entry) to confirm your win. You will be contacted so arrangements can be made for Camelot to award you with your prize. If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of initial contact, then Camelot and Independent reserve the right to offer the prize to a reserve winner. Please note the corresponding winning Ticket or validation slip will need to be retained as this may need to be shown prior to any prize being paid. The prize will be paid by cheque.

15. I have won can I remain anonymous?

As part of the Terms and Conditions players agree that by entering they acknowledge, accept and agree that if they are a winner they have no right to anonymity. If you are not comfortable with this term, we would recommend that you do not enter into the promotion.

16. How and when will I receive my prize?

Cash prizes will be awarded by cheque which will be posted to the address submitted upon entry within 28 days of contact

17. I entered using a Lotto ticket number from a syndicate ticket and it has won. What happens now?

If a Ticket was purchased on behalf of a syndicate, it is the responsibility of the members of the syndicate to decide who will enter the Promotion and how any prize won may be shared. A prize will only be paid to the person who has registered their details to enter the Promotion.

18. I won on the main Lotto draw and have already given my Lotto ticket to my retailer to claim my prize. I ‘have now won on The Independent Lotto promotion, what should I do?

The retailer will have handed you a printed validation slip with your winnings from the main Lotto draw, keep hold of this validation slip as it can be used instead of your ticket to claim your Independent prize.

19. I can’t find my Lotto ticket/validation slip and I have won, what happens now?

Your Lotto ticket or validation slip is required in order for your prize to be awarded. If you are unable to produce either of these upon request we will not be able to give you your prize and a reserve winner will be contacted.
