David Hughes Sam Blewett

David Hughes is the Political Editor at PA Media. In this role David has covered the fallout from Brexit, the political consequences of Covid-19 and unprecedented levels of turmoil in Westminster. David’s career began at the Wales News Service in Cardiff before joining PA, first in the West Country and since 2006 in Westminster. Sam Blewett has spent the last four years of a decade-long career in journalism covering politics from Westminster, where he is the PA news agency's deputy political editor. He has reported on a wide range of subjects from round the world, including during a stint in the US. After completing a degree in biology, he trained as a journalist in London before working in local news and at various national newspapers.
