Westworld: Season 3 Trailer

HBO has announced that Westworld has been renewed for a fourth season.

The US network also confirmed that creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will return for the next season of the hit sci-fi series.

In a statement, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said: “From the Western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.”

“We can’t wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next.”

Inspired by the 1973 film of the same name, Westworld initially told the story of a high-tech tourist park populated by incredibly lifelike robots, but has since branched out to focus artificial intelligence in the wider world.

The series features an ensemble cast that includes Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris and Tessa Thompson. Aaron Paul recently joined the cast for its third season.

In the UK, Westworld airs on Sky Atlantic, and is available to stream on NOW TV.
