This Morning's unsung hero segment gets awkward as milkman gets told off by angry customer

There were awkward scenes on a recent episode of This Morning when, during the ITV show’s live “unsung hero” segment, a milkman was told off by a disgruntled customer.

Milkman Darren Barnes was filmed delivering care packages to locals during coronavirus lockdown, in a section of the programme that celebrates acts of kindness.

“I have had so many cards of well wishes and thank yous,” said Barnes, as he approached a house to drop off a package.

But not everyone is grateful for Barnes’ help, it seems, as when one man opened his front door and saw all the supplies on the doorstep, he grumbled: “I didn’t know we were doing this. You’re delivering stuff I don’t want.”

As hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby watched on via video link, pulling awkward faces, Barnes backed away from the house.

Trying to cover up the sound of the man shouting after him, he said: “Thank you very much sir. Okay. That’s the little bit we’ve got there. Thank you. Okay.”
