There's only two months to go before the zombie series returns
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. As the wait for The Walking Dead season 7 intensifies, so too does the anticipation of discovering the identity of Negan's victim.
That's right, in the final episode of the AMC drama's sixth season, one poor character found themselves on the wrong side of the baseball bat of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's new antagonist.
Executive producer and part-time director Greg Nicotero previously revealed that fans won't have long to wait when the show returns in October - we'll see the death in all its grisly glory in the season's opening scene.
The release of these new promos puts the spotlight on each of those in the running to be offed (you can find our prediction here).
1 | Glenn (Steven Yeun)
2 | Abraham (Michael Cudlitz)
3 | Eugene (Josh McDermitt)
4 | Michonne (Danai Gurira)
5 | Maggie (Lauren Cohan)
6 | Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green)
7 | Daryl (Norman Reedus)
8 | Rosita (Christian Serratos)
9 | Aaron (Ross Marquand)
10 | Carl (Chandler Riggs)
11 | Rick (Andrew Lincoln)
If you hadn't already guessed, the placement of the above clips are in order of what we believe to be most to least likely (Rick and Carl are basically confirmed to be returning).
Still, we'll have to wait to find out who Negan kills when The Walking Dead returns in the US on 23 October followed by its UK airing the following day on FOX.
