Sky Atlantic has pushed back the release of the second series of The Tunnel in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Brussels.

The Stephen Dilate and Clémence Poésy starring English-French crime drama was set to return on the 5 April, but has been pushed back a week.

According to the most recent reports, 32 people have been confirmed dead while hundreds of others have been injured in the attacks.

“In light of the tragic events in Brussels, Sky Atlantic has decided to postpone the launch of The Tunnel: Sabotage as a mark of respect,” the broadcaster said in a statement.

“The drama, which contains fictitious scenes of terrorism, will now broadcast on 12 April at 9pm.”

According to Radio Times, the first episode in the series depicts an attack on a British airliner.

The Tunnel, season two, will debut on Sky Atlantic on 12 April at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
