Michael B Jordan stars in Alexa advert for Amazon

Google has released the data on the most-viewed adverts that premiered during the Super Bowl last night (7 February).

Companies typically use the large viewership of the annual NFL sporting event as an opportunity to debut new advertisements and trailers.

Videos featuring celebrities including Michael B Jordan, Timothée Chalamet and Matthew McConaughey ranked among the biggest of the night.

Black Panther star Jordan appeared in an advert for Amazon's Alexa device.

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen, meanwhile, featured prominently in an advert for Jeep, and McConaughey appeared in 2D in an advert for Doritos crisps.

The first trailer for Marvel's forthcoming Disney+ spin-off series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier also debuted during the night's proceedings.

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey reprised their beloved Wayne's World roles for an Uber Eats spot alongside Cardi B, and Edward Scissorhands was given a short sequel-parody (starring Chalamet and Winona Ryder) in an ad for Cadillac.
