From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ever dreamed of spending you Christmas with Bill Murray and his friends? Well - thanks to Netflix - you can, as they’re releasing a special original called “A Very Murray Christmas”.
The ‘all-star musically driven’ show is set inside New York’s iconic Carlyle Hotel and features numerous stars including George Clooney, Chris Rock, Miley Cyrus, Amy Poelher, Jason Schwartzman, Michael Cera, Maya Rudolph, Rashida Jones, Paul Shaffer and the French band Phoenix. Few.
The special will start with Murray preparing to host a live holiday broadcast, but a blizzard shuts down production and so the friends, hotel staff and passers-by begin singing to make the most of the situation. Watch the trailer below.
Previously a teaser was released, however, it only showed Murray looking grimly out a window onto the NY skyline. This new trailer, however, shows a lot more of what is going to happen, with Murray sing “Let It Snow” as the stars flash on screen, all suited in Christmas gear.
The Netlflix original will be streaming from the 4 December.
