But why would they meet in that particular location?
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Production on season eight of Game of Thrones has been underway for seem time, the amount of big leaks being surprisingly small.
However, thanks to some pesky photographer, we now know at least one (not hugely surprising) reunion will definitely be taking place.
Warning: spoilers for season eight below. Proceed with caution.
Still here? Well, Game of Thrones fans, you will be glad to know that Jon Snow, played by Kit Harrington, has been spotted on set and in costume alongside Samwell Tarly (John Bradley).
As noted by Digital Spy, Samwell appears to be walking alongside Jon wearing a hood.
Throughout season seven, Samwell spent the majority of time at the Citadel, learning to become a Maester. However, during the last episode, the character returned to Winterfell to reveal Jon’s true parentage to Bran Stark.
Meanwhile, Jon, who was primarily based at Dragonstone or beyond The Wall, has set sail on his and Daenerys’s love-boat. And while we were obviously going to see Samwell and Jon together at Winterfell, the location of these photos — Croatia — has been the primary set for King’s Landing.
How exactly the pair get to the capital of Westeros remains unknown. Season eight reaches HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
