From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. According to previous reports, Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the show, is supposedly filming in NI right now, yet in these leaked photos no blonde hair is visible.
Instead we can see a number of foot soldiers and someone on horseback. Many are speculating that the pictured scene features Aidan Gillen’s Petyr Baelish as this location has previously been used in scenes set in the Vale. Check out the photos, taken by journalist Dead McLaughlin, below.
Of course, this could be a scene featuring Daenerys as the last time we saw her she was being surrounded by Dothraki in a field.
Fans are currently debating whether Jon Snow will be returning after being killed in the last episode of season 5.
Recently, HBO announced an official toy line called ‘Honour the Fallen: The Memoriam Collection’ which featured all those characters that had died in the series. Noticeably, Jon Snow was missing.
This, coupled with fans noticing Kit Harrington had long hair at Wimbledon, has lead fans to hope he may one day return.
As well as in Ireland, filming will take place at the Castillo de Zafra in Guadalaja, Spain, a castle that looks suspiciously like the Tower of Joy, a place we have yet to visit but could play a significant role in Snow’s life.
