Game of Thrones season 6 episode 9: Has it leaked and how to watch
This season has again been blighted by leaks

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Episode 5 - 'The Door' - was accidentally leaked by HBO Nordic 24 hours early and last week's episode - 'No One' hit online a couple of hours ahead of broadcast.
So far (we'll update this story if anything changes), HBO seems to have avoided tonight's instalment ending up on torrents and streaming site - there are a couple of 'S06E09's floating around on The Pirate Bay, but they don't check out.
If you're inclined to try and torrent the episode at any point, don't use non-verified uploaders and check whether the file size and type look right. Hallmarks of fake versions are around 300MB size (suspiciously small) and .wmv and .exe formats, sometimes prompting you to download a codec to 'view' them (don't). They're usually uploaded to disseminate viruses and links to spam sites.
You can watch the episode in all its HD glory on HBO at 9pm ET in the US and on Sky Atlantic at 2am BST in the UK. You can also watch online and on TV through NOWTV and HBO GO (which has a free trial on) in some territories.
'Battle of the Bastards' will be dominated by its titular Stark v. Bolton fight, which cast and crew have been teasing is the biggest thing they've ever filmed in the show's history.
