Coronavirus: Italian artist uses The Simpsons and Family Guy likenesses to provide advice

The Royal Family also appear as part of the #StayHome series, urging people to self-isolate if they think they have the virus

An Italian artist has used likenesses from The Simpsons to offer people advice on how to deal with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Milan-based activists and contemporary artist aleXsandro Palombo created the #StayHome campaign, which depicts the iconic cartoon family telling people to self-isolate to prevent the virus spreading.

"These are dramatic days here in Milan and Italy," said Palombo. "This is not a flu."

He continued: "There is no therapy, there is no vaccine, please #StayHome to help prevent the spread of the virus."

It's not just the Simpsons that the #StayHome campaign depicts.

Other pop culture figures used include the British Royal Family and the Griffin family from Family Guy.

Italy is the country worst affected by the coronavirus outside China, with the death toll now having risen over 1,000.
