Between the photos from Game of Thrones season 7 episode 7 'The Dragon and the Wolf', the original trailer for the season, and the fan service it's indulged in, it looks as though we might be getting the much-hyped 'Cleganebowl' this week, or at least an encounter between Sandor and Gregor Clegane that sets it up for season 8.

But who will win the duel, The Hound or The Mountain?

With The Hound having nearly been killed by Brienne while The Mountain quite literally crushed Prince Oberyn, the older brother is probably the favourite, and The Mountain actor Hafþór Júlíus “Thor” Björnsson would seem to agree.

"I haven’t seen it yet in my head how I would kill him, but somehow I would smash his head or kill him like that," he told EW.

"I think the fight would be quick rather than something long. I think people would be expecting a big fight but I would finish him really fast. It would be a surprise to people."

Asked if he was sure The Mountain would win then, Björnsson replied: "100 percent."

The Hound may be the underdog (sorry), but Game of Thrones has a habit of surprising us when it comes to deaths.

The six-foot-nine actor couldn't or wouldn't give an answer as to if the Cleganebowl will happen, but he thinks the signs are good.

"That’s definitely something I would like to see," he said. "And for most of the fans, it’s something they’re all waiting for.

"It looks like it’s going to go that way, but who knows?"
