Days after Stephen Colbert paid tribute to the second shortest lived White House Communications Director the United States has ever seen, The Late Show has announced Anthony Scaramucci as next Monday’s guest.

The Mooch was fired late last month by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly who, ironically, was supposed to be kept in check by The Mooch.

Late night TV hosts were quick to mock the House of Cards-esque situation, Colbet joking: “He said he was going to fire everybody and he delivered.”

Tweeting out the booking, Colbert’s Late show account commented: “On Monday 8/14 Anthony Scaramucci will be my guest… This is just a heads up for our censors to get ready!”

Moochy was reportedly fired because Donald Trump’s administration didn’t want to be associated with someone who spoke about fellow staff with the vulgar tones, The Mooch having infamously mocked Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon.

What’s perhaps strange about the Colbert appearance is that Mooch recently cancelled a high-profile appearance at Politicon.

Meanwhile, Colbert has been bringing in record ratings, beating Jimmy Fallon by over 900,000 viewers. No doubt the Mooch episode will be one of the most watched in recent memory.
